With the sudden leaps in fans, don't worry so much about the numbers--if you enjoy telling the story, natural improvement will follow. In terms of the sudden large numbers... While there's plenty of BL comics on Smackjeeves, there's still few in number that actually updates reliably (page 171, that's a huge oddity for the average comic lifespan on SJ). Besides that, most BL comics are more fluff-oriented. Not to say PikaSemeChu is not, but I see you're willing to explore more "darker" dynamics--like say, Meowth and Persian. It's a refreshing change and adds diversity to the comic's relationships. And, it's quite a draw--at least for BL fans (like me) who wish they saw that sort of dynamic more often. And yes, I have a high guess that many saw the "Preview" pages of what you're currently producing and are madly faving as they read. Otherwise, a lot of your fans who are "lurkers" finally got around to creating their own accounts and decided to 'fave' out of the blue. XD Must be "Spring Fever" or something. *Grin* P.S: Sorry, for the word dump but I hope the explanation helped you somewhat? Keep up on the good work ethic--most SJ artists I've noticed don't last this long. Impressive. |
